About
As self-confessed 明朝体面人 (respectable citizen of the Ming Dynasty), I aim to provide translations that bring history to life.
I wish to use literature as a platform to introduce more people to Chinese history, arts and aesthetics.
Please note that my translations are footnote heavy as I treat them like I am writing an academic paper. Every effort has been made to research all historical items, persons, locations and events. I will also occasionally retain Chinese characters (汉字) in the body of my translations but English and pinyin will be provided as needed.
